"Chrysten makes it easy to find remedies which actually work, she is always picking the best ones. I wasted way too much time already with cures which just didn't work."
Sandra Kaulshik

"When I showed your site to my friend she was amazed because she didn't know there was a home remedy for her vaginosis. She had been to the doctor a few times and it always came back. Two weeks later she called me and thanked me, it hasn't come back ever since!

"For my heartburn I was looking all over and I tried this cure which was recommended on another site. It did not work. The one you mentioned did the trick. Thanks!!

What is the best natural acne remedy that you have tried?

I wonder? asked:

Currently I have acne all over my face, and I am sick of it. Once school gets out in May, I think I’m going to get on Acutane, but until then, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a natural acne remedy that would work for my situation. Thanks.

Try witch hazel. You can buy it at Walgreens or any other pharmacy department (even Target or Walmart). It’s a liquid and it’ll be next to rubbing alcohol and peroxide. It’ll be two or three dollars for an entire bottle. You apply it with a cotton pad. Another option is to use bar soap–safe guard plain white soap. This was recommended to two people I know by two different dermatologists.

Other than good cleaning and hygiene, “natural” remedies don’t work. Try cleaning twice daily with a mild dermatologist recommended cleanser. Pat you face lightly dry to avoid irritation. This will help a bit, but if you are bad enough to go on Acutane, I doubt you will get the results you desire until you take Acutane.

The best thing I have found for acne is washing my face twice a day with Johnsons baby shampoo. This removes the excess oil from my skin without drying it out or irritating it. At 42 years old I have tried all the over the counter and prescription remedies.

dude the natural stuff does not work at all… that stuff is for people who get like one pimple a week

I used Ivory soap (99% pure) and warm water, washed my face gently with my hands, not a cloth. Then I splashed my face with warm water five times, then cooler water 3 times then cold water twice. I patted my face, not rubbed dry.

Then, I would apply Noxema face cream only to my blemishes. Just a dot on each and let it disappear, don’t rub. My face cleared up in about 30 days with this, and I only had an occasional blemish throughout high school after that because I continued this regime twice daily. First thing in the morning, and last thing at night.

you need to do the basic three : cleanse, tone and moisturize. simply, use
    - Oxy facial foam to cleanse
    -witch hazel/rose water to tone
    - aloe vera jelly to moisturize (they sell it cheap at drugstores).
also, every 3 days use a clay mask, it works to absorb oil.

Okay, first off let me tell you i’ve been a great acne sufferer for a long time until I’ve switch to “natural”. It works if you can figure out whats wrong with your body in the first place. First off, I’ve been on alot of prescribed anti-acne meds. This screws your body systems majorly. I stopped taking those, and starting taking Probiotics to rejuvinate my killed intestinal flora from antibiotics. Then I did an internal intestinal cleanse. Cleared up some, but not entirely. Started to drink 6 cups of Rooibos/Honeybush/Pu erh tea a day. WOW. Tea does wonders. But I had oily skin too. I got rid of that by balancing my intake of Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids. Mainly just taking 6 pills of Salmon Oil supplements. It’s different for everyone. But let me tell you, Accutane isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. I’ve used it before, but it causes more harm then good, and you have to be on it forever for it to keep working.
